The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Upon the landing approach the aircraft encountered light turbulance. The automated weather observation system (AWOS) was reporting winds from 330 degrees at 10 knots (KTS) gusting to 15 KTS. At touch down the pilot hit a gust of wind. The left wheel went into the grass and the pilot attempted to correct the situtation. The aircraft went to the right at a 60 degree angle across the runway and up an embankment and stopped in a muddy area of a field.
