Employees at the facility indicated the parts were from a helicopter that crashed on June 10, 2014 in Hudson, WI, and that they knew the pilot in command. It was also reported that the pilot had a passenger with him and that he did not have a helicopter rating at the time of accident. Statements showed the crash occurred shortly after takeoff from a parking lot adjacent to an office building in the city of Hudson, WI. Statements also indicated that the helicopter lost power after takeoff. FAA inspectors have been unable to confirm or disprove this.
