From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot told police officer on scene that he was on approcach on a southern heading onto runway 22 (23) and as he touched down a gust of wind picked up his right wing causing the plane to tip with its left wing (touching and then the left wheel which pulled the airplane left 45 degrees off the runway and rotating 180 degrees. The tail now going backwards caught in the sod and caused the airplane to flip on its top). The plane came to final rest approximately 6 feet off the runway on the east side of the runway. He had been flying 2 hours from departure point.
