From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airline personnel performed maintenance on this aircraft to correct a discrepancy that was reported by a flight crew. When the required maintenance and inspections were complete, the mechanics decided a high speed taxi was required to verify correction of the discrepancy. A high speed taxi was conducted on runway 19L at kmci. As the aircraft passed through the intersection of runway 9/27, the mechanic controlling the aircraft from the left seat started to decrease the taxi speed. At that point, the mechanic lost control of the aircraft possibly due to a combination of improper braking action, nose wheel steering inputs and rudder control inputs. The aircraft departed the runway surface edge approximately 550 feet from the end of runway 19L, coming to a stop in the grass approximately 450 feet off the east side of the runway surface.

As the FAA filed it
