What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot landing on runway 25 with a slight crosswind. Touched down beyond the halfway mark of the 2298 foot runway.
He stated it was too late to initiate a go around and too little room to come to a stop before running off the end of the runway. The aircraft came to rest 300 feet past the end of the runway off to the right side and impacted a treeline there. An unidentified eyewitness later stated to the pilot that he had landed with a tailwind.
