From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A Cessna 150 on a training flight conducted under part 61 was maneuvering between 1,700 and 2,000 feet above ground level performing slow flight followed by a power-off stall. The student and instructor both stated that carb heat was applied prior to begining the manuever. Upon completing the maneuver and during the recovery, both the student, then the instructor, were unable to make the engine generate power for sustained flight. The pilot made an unscheduled landing in a grass field just west of Plantersville Texas.
