From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On a personal flight from T41 to gls pilot experienced a gear malfunction light. Pilot completed emergency checklist with a negative outcome. Pilot conducted a fly-by at gls where the tower personnel confirmed the gear was down. Pilot chose to fly to efd for fire rescue services if needed. Aircraft made a fly-by for gear inspection by tower personnel, and then landed on runway 17R with all landing gear. Approximately 1800 feet after landing, the right main gear collapsed and aircraft skidded down runway on left main gear, nose gear and right wingtip.

An inspection was conducted by airworthiness and operations inspectors and found the following: the bottom of the right flap, right aileron, and right wingtip were scraped. The right aileron and right flap were also bent on the outboard portions from the control inputs from the pilot as it skidded along the runway.

No damage to the landing gear could be detected during a visual inspection.
