The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On August 22, 2014, N6496N, a Beech bonanza B36TC, with 4 people onboard, was attempting a go around at the harris ranch airport (308) in Coalinga, CA. The PIC had previously attempted a straight in landing with a left rear quartering tailwind between 8-10 KTS. The pilot allowed the aircraft to get behind the power curve. Once he heard the stall horn he immediately added power and retracted the landing gear, however the aircraft continued to settle until it struck the surface next to the runway. At the time of the incident the pilot had 10 hours in this high performance aircraft. There were no injuries reported.
