From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Approach to nvo rwy 31. Sky clear, light winds from the north. On downwind, gear horn sounded and observed no green gear indication - cycled gear, no help. Performed manual gear extension procedures - no help- felt a binding or premature stop while cranking down gear for manual extension. Gear horn and unsafe indication remained. Coordinated a field fly-by with available observers who then advised that the gear appeared to be down.

Set up for the approach and cut off engine over the threshold. On touchdown, the aircraft settled on the gear doors and skidded to a stop on center line.

The aircraft was placed on 3 small dollies and pushed to a parking spot.
