From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC stated that on departure rollout, he noticed when he hit 40 knots on the ASI. That his nose was dipping, so he throttled back to idle and aborted the take off. Once the aircraft started to slow down, the nose dropped due to the nose landing gear collapsing. The PIC stated that he didn't get the chance to shut down the engine, when the prop in turn struck the deck. The aircraft skidded for a few feet. There is damage to the engine lower cowling, prop, and engine due to the sudden stoppage. The pilot was not injured.
