From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

A student pilot enrolled in part 141 private pilot course, on a supervised solo flight, lost control of the aircraft on landing rollout and departed the 3000-FT runway surface to the left side, about 2/3 of the way down the runway. Aircraft came to a stop in the grass without damage, but the student elected to taxi the aircraft back towards the runway and struck a runway light with the propeller. The aircraft was then towed to maintenance.

AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP IN THE GRASS WITHOUT DAMAGE, BUT THE STUDENT ELECTED TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT BACK TOWARDS THE RUNWAY AND STRUCK A RUNWAY LIGHT WITH THE PROPELLER.
