From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N9114K was enroute to Alaska, with a stop in bellingham, WA, and pilot reported experiencing landing gear issues. Nose gear was not indicating safe on extension. Attempts were made to remedy the landing gear issue with no success. Pilot diverted to Paine Field, Everett, WA. Then landed on runway 16R, after declaring an emergency. Pilot had shut down both engines prior to landing in order to prevent prop strikes, and the aircraft came to rest on the runway centerline, resting on the main landing gear and the nose bowl of the forward section. There was minor damage to the belly of the aircraft at the nose area, no other damage noted, including the propellers. No injury reported by the pilot, the sole occupant of the aircraft. Paine Field fire and rescue was on scene, and reported no issues. The aircraft was lifted and the nose gear dropped into place, and then towed to a local hanger for assessment and repair.
