From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 01/24/2015, the solo student pilot was conducting a cross country flight from dvt to E63 to E25. The student was having a hard time making the landing at E25 for various reasons. First attempt he tried to enter the downwind and was in conflict with another aircraft. Second attempt, he was too high. After the second aborted attempt to land at E25 the student decided to return to dvt, but was instructed by his supervising instructor to make the landing at E25. He reentered the pattern and touched down on the mains and then stated that he hit the brakes hard to make the taxiway and heard a metallic sound. When he parked to get fuel, he noticed that both tips of the propeller were bent backwards.
