From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During landing rollout on rwy 4 at CDI airport during windy conditions, the aircraft encountered a gust of wind from the northwest. The pilot had proper control inputs, however the wind caused the left wing to raise and make the aircraft difficult to control. The pilot added power to recover the aircraft. After power was added, the main wheels became airborne and the tailwheel was dragging on the ground. The aircraft remained uncontrollable, veered off to the left of the runway and came to a stop inverted in a ditch to the left.

As the FAA filed it
