From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC stated that he had trouble finding the runway of the private airpark until he was one mile south west of runway 09 at 1000 feet AGL. PIC stated he "dive bombed" the runway with full flaps extended. The touchdown, approximately 1/3 down the runway was extremely hard, resulting in a very high bounce. PIC stated that he tried to add power to gain control of the airplane, however was unsuccessful. Due to the quartering tailwind, combined with the application of full power (left turning tendancy) the aircraft departed the north side of the runway, became momentarily airborn again, crossed the parallel taxiway, struck a pitts S-2 (N119JM) parked on a private residence ramp, struck two large palm trees, a residential house, two more trees before coming to a stop in the front yard of an airpark residental home.

The airplane was destroyed.

No fire, no injuries.

As the FAA filed it
