What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Aircraft took off from Swainsboro Airport (sbo), and at 2500' pilot could not achieve more than 2100 RPM. Shortly after pilot noticed oil temp rising quickly and oil started spraying windscreen. Pilot set up for a landing on dirt road and as aircraft was descending oil temp went up to 250 degrees and oil pressure started dropping. Aircraft was slowed to 100 knots and put flaps to full. Pilot noticed power lines and quickly diverted to the right to a clear field. Pilot made a sharp left turn and the left gear hit the dirt and cart wheeled the aircraft putting the aircraft upside down approximately 50 to 60 yard from touchdown. Pilot exited the aircraft with minimal injury and substantial damage occurred to the aircraft.
