What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Airman was leaving Campbell lake (3C3) returning to lake hood (lhd). According to the airman, during the take-off run a gust of wind caused the aircraft to depart the water early. Not having enough airspeed to remain airborne the aircraft returned to the surface in a left wing low attitude. The left wing and float contacted the water at an angle that caused the aircraft to flip over, coming to rest in the water inverted.
