From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 05/21/2015, the pilot was landing rwy 01 at mvl. On approach he noted that the wind was light from the west. On touchdown, the aircraft veered left. He corrected to the right and applied brakes. The aircraft then headed to the right side of the runway. He was going to let the aircraft continue off the pavement onto the grass. However, he saw a ditch so he applied the brakes hard and the aircraft nosed-over at the edge of the runway. After he exited the aircraft, he noticed the wind had shifted from west to the south at 10 mph. No injuries. Aircraft damage ? Top of rudder, windshield broken, prop bent, l fwd wing strut buckled, left wing twisted, spinner destroyed.
