What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot was on after landing rollout and advanced full throttle to execute a touch-and-go. As he reached to raise the flaps, he felt a bump and thought it might be the engine. The plane veered left, so he applied right rudder and reduced throttle. The airplane impacted the ground to the left of the runway.
After exiting the airplane, he and the airport manager discovered a dead deer approximately 220 feet from the point of the initial "bump."
