From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot attempted to extend the landing gear of a CE-210 on an approach to hnh but only the nose gear extended and locked. The main gear legs did not fully extend. The pilot attempted to cycle the gear and although he could hear the hydraulic pump operating the gear did not respond. At this point the pilot elected to return to Juneau where there was a longer runway, emergency personnel, and repair services. The pilot shutdown the engine just before touchdown and as the weight transfered onto the mains the gear legs were pushed back into the gear wells. The aircraft was substantially damaged as it rolled onto and bent the left horizontal. The wingtip, gear doors and tail also received minor damage.

Neither the pilot or the passenger received any injuries.
