From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On liftoff the aircraft entered a crosswind/windshear condition. The pilot felt he could not make a successful takeoff so he elected to land. During landing in the grass, the aircraft hit the nav/instrument light. The aircraft landed 200 feet left of the runway centerline and 500 feet before the trees. The pilot applied the brakes but could not stop. The aircraft hit the trees and bushes past the end of the runway and slide through a fence and onto the highway.
