From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

In a written statement from the PIC:

Returning from obx, no abnormalities, filed IFR, IMC time out of obx. Visual to 34L. Tower cleared to land. Straight in approach with no changes to configuration, 2 degrees flaps. Selected gear down at 700 feet, then full flaps. Ran checklist but did not verify green light or mirror. Felt touchdown but no wheels. Tower said "go around" but with the blades hitting, decided not to go around.

Master off, left mags on, mixtures up.

PIC and passenger then safely departed the aircraft without injury.
