From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N8433Y thought nose gear was not functioning properly and wanted the tower to view during a fly by. Tower stated that the nose gear did not appear down but left and right main landing gears were down. Pilot decided to land and the tower alerted airport rescue and fire fighting department. Upon reaching the runway, the aircraft touched down on the main landing gear and on landing roll when the nose of the aircraft pushed down the aircraft came to rest on its nose due to the nose landing gear not being extended. The pilot and passenger exited the aircraft without assistance. All three propeller blades were bent due to impact with the tarmac while spinning. Slight scuffing to the underside of the lower engine cowl was noted.
