From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot and family returning home from vacation in pigeon forge, Tennessee (kgkt) to grand prairie, Texas (kgpm). Stopped for fuel at Bastrop, LA (kbqp). Had wife and three children onboard with two large pieces of luggage, several medium duffel type bags, various smaller bags and a car seat. Pilot added 66 gallons of avgas. Temperature was 37 degrees celcius. After takeoff, airplane would not climb out of ground effect, so pilot elected to abort and landed back on runway. On rollout, airplane exited to the right of the runway and right gear collapsed. No injuries reported and only damage to right landing gear and rear of right flap.
