From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot attempted shortfield takeoff procedure close to mtow on a hot night, VFR in a rural area with no ground reference lights other than minimal runway lighting. Aircraft turned left a few degrees from runway heading in the time between rotation from the runway and recontact with the runway, with the left main in the grass at approximately 60 knots. Aircraft proceeded straight on this path along the runway drainage slope into a deep ditch parallel to the runway, which flipped the aircraft about the pitch axis.
