From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airplane departed 1NC1 and flew approximately 1600 feet, at an approximate heading of 287. The airplane crashed in an oak tree at a 330 heading at a height of 25-30FT.

The aircraft was removed from the tree on 8/20/2015 and taken to rons Ultralight field. The fuel tank was half full and the fuel valve was found in the 'off' position. The throttle moved properly and movement could be heard in the carburetor when the throttle was moved forward and back. The horizontal fuel filter was half full and the fuel level was not enough to reach the inlet or the outlet of the filter. The fuel tank filler cap had positive ventilation. There was no fuel in the fuel line to the carburetor. The carburetor float bowl was removed and was empty. Control continuity was established by the evidence of no damage to the flight controls or flight control surfaces.

Pilot interviewed and stated that he does not have a current bfr and that he can not hold an FAA medical because ^he is taking prescription drugs that are on the faa's list of prohibited miedications.^

As the FAA filed it
