From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot landed the aircraft with 2 passengers on board on the grass landing strip. During the landing the aircraft drifted left into the tall grass area off the grass strip and encountered rough ground. The aircraft began to turn sharply to the right in the tall grass and the right wheel made a deep ground impression until the aircraft came to a sudden stop. During the sharp right turn the aircraft pitched hard to the right causing the right wing, right horizontal stabilizer and right elevator to impact the ground causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
