From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was attempting to land at a remote dirt airstrip. Pilot aborted initial landing attempt and made a go around for a 2nd attempt because he felt he was too high. During this 2nd attempt, he was focussing on making a short field landing and lost awareness of the aircraft airspeed. The aircraft stalled about 15 -20 feet above the airstrip and contacted the ground about 50 yards from the approach end of the strip. Damage occurred to the propellor, landing gear, belly structure, and the left wing is bent upwards near the strut attach point.
