What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot was preparing to depart runway 25 at (47N) central Jersey regional airport Hillsborough twp. New Jersey. The pilot added power for a normal takeoff, all aircraft instruments indicated normal and the pilot started his takeoff roll.
At the time of rotation 80 knots the pilot applied back pressure for rotation and the aircraft pulled to the left. The pilot applied right rudder and turned the aircraft to the right and stated it appeared to have no effect. The aircraft continued to pull to the left remaining in ground effect. The pilot stated the aircraft was not gaining altitude or additional speed.
The pilot pulled the power back and applied the brakes as heavily as possible to control the aircraft. The aircraft came to rest in a field left of the runway. The aircraft had substantial damage.
