From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that this flight was a personal pleasure flight. Upon initiating the departure from the Ohio river, the aircraft began to deccelerate and lean toward the left-wing down. He aborted the takeoff; however, the aircraft "slowly" nosed over in the water. All passengers exited the aircraft. The pilot observed that one of the floats had a hole in it "the size of a softball or bigger". He thinks the float struck a submerged object in the water and allowed the float to take on water, thus causing the event.
