What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot manuvered the aircraft from a takeoff at his home airport into a climb when the engine began to run rough. After avoiding several large trees he set up the aircraft to land in a pasture. The aircraft struck a fence that surrounded it. The aircraft flipped upside down and came to a stop 75 feet from the fence. There was damage to the right wing, lift struts, vertical fin, windshield, engine cowling, and propeller. The fuel in the wing tanks had drained into the ground. Fuel samples were taken from the "header tank" and the engine fuel filter. The fuel filter sample was cloudy, and filter itself indicated blockage.
