From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approximately 2:05 PST, pilot departed the fueling station and proceeded to conduct 133 operations (christmas tree slinging). At around 2:25, on the way to the landing area after dropping a load of trees, the pilot experienced a reduction of power. He ejected the load and long line, and elected to land the helicopter as soon as possible.

As helicopter touched down, the engine was still running at a slow idle. The main rotor blades were still turning and impacted a nearby tree. Pilot proceeded to shut down the helicopter and exited out the pilot side door.
