From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N50808 was taxing out for a local flight to taxiway bravo. While still between the hangers the pilot appeared to be tracking just left of the yellow center strip marked between the hangers with more than 3/4'S of its right wing protruding right of the yellow center strip. Two hangers ahead a M20E N6993U was positioned to the right of the yellow center strip. N6993U'S left wing was a few feet right of the yellow center strip. Due to N50808'S wing being positioned to the right of the yellow center line strip it made contact with the top portion of N6993U'S left wing tip, causing only cosmetic damage to the edge of the wing tip and braking the plastic position light reflector. N50808 sustained what appears to be minor damage to the underside of the right wing where a small tare occurred when the plastic position light reflector broke off.
