What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
The pilot reported that upon landing the plane the tailwheel started to shimmy for about 1 to 2 seconds. When the shimmy stopped the plane turned to the right and left the runway. The pilot was able to taxi back to the ramp, with no damage to the plane. A inspection of the aircraft found that the linkage to the tailwheel had failed.
The problem was fixed by replacing the rivets in the linkage. The aircraft records shown after that the plane was returned to service.
A search of the service difficulty reporting site did not show any other reports of this type of problem, for the PT-19.
