From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot departed belen (E80) on a personal flight to Santa Fe (saf). The pilot made a practice approach to rwy 2, low approach and was directed to the saf VOR to hold. During the hold the engine started to surge and the pilot noticed no oil pressure. The pilot did not think he could make it to the airport and reported to the tower he was going to land on the I-25 frontage road. He landed on the road without incident.
