On second touchdown another burst picked up the aircraft, the PIC was unable to maintain directional control, and impacted the ground off the runway going sideways. The nose and right MLG broke. The pilot indicated that when he checked weather gusting was reported between 10-16 knots. He believes the lake effect and temperature were the main factors.
