From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 3/29/2016, at approximately 11:40 am, the aircraft was en-route to FAR as a flight of three aircraft. Upon arrival at FAR, this aircraft was number three after ?the break?. The pilot stated he was going through his landing checklist but was distracted with keeping his landing pattern tight to accommodate other traffic. In doing so, the pilot failed to extend the landing gear. As the propeller had contacted the runway, Fargo ATC notified N9103F that his landing gear was not extended. The aircraft had enough airspeed to allow the pilot to flare, extend the landing gear, and land.
