From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Mishap pilot (mp) was doing practice short field landings on gravel strip parallel runway (runway 25) in stol equipped "superstol" experimental aircraft. He was overly agressive on his braking actions and aircraft flipped onto its back. No injuries sustained. Substantial damage to the aircraft.

Mp was very forthcoming with events leading up to and why the accident occurred. Counseling consisted of ways to mitigate future risks to include utilization of medallion foundation simulator (pa 18 motion ftd), flying with an instructor as well as seminars at upcoming stol competition in valdez AK. Mp was open to all suggestions and had several "fixes" himself.
