From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

First solo flight for student, winds were calm and weather clear. The student pilot stated "I taxied to runway 36 and performed the pre- take off checklist, called taking the runway and lined up slightly left of the centerline. A final check of the instruments and then began the take off roll. Since I had lined up slightly left, I corrected back to centerline. At 55 KTS I started to rotate and the aircraft began to drift left. I tried to correct but it got worse and became apparent I was going off the runway. The rest is a blur until I hit the trees."
