From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On may 21, 2016 at apprx. 1745 local time instructor privacy data omitted was flight instructing a student in N555HF, a PA-44, Piper seminole, at Auburn airport (aou)for Auburn University... The weather was VFR with little or no wind...the instructor had just done a short-field landing with his student and the landing was long so they wanted to attempt another short field... The takeoff and pattern were uneventful, however; at the abeam point of landing where the gear should have been lowered, the instructor was busy correcting the student on his traffic pattern and forgot to put the gear down....the pattern continued and the instructor did not verify that the gear had not been put down....he cleared the extended final area and then landed the aircraft gear up on runway 36.....minor damage, no injuries.
