From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Airman phoned in to this office 6/4/16 and stated that he had a propeller strike while landing at 3W2. Airman stated that during rollout a gust of wind came from the right rear and lifted the right wing and took the aircraft to the left side of runway. The airman adjusted controls to correct but the aircraft nosed over resulting in the propeller contacting the ground. On 6/6/2016 a physical inspection was conducted on the aircraft. About 4 inches of one tip of the propeller was missing, the right wing tip had a small abrasion where it contacted the ground and the engine muffler also broke off during the landing.
