From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After normal engine runup pilot recieved clearance to taxi to runway 34. During taxi pilot noticed the brakes having less affect and steered with available nose wheel steering. The pilot informed ATC he was aborting the flight and return. During turn from taxiway alpha to taxiway delta a gust of wind accelerated the aircraft and steering was lost. The pilot shut down the engine and while coasting with no control contacted a USAF SA-227 aircraft damaging the Cessna left wing leading edge. The SA-227 sustained damage to the right pitot probe, skin right side fuselage aft of radome, radome, left propeller spinner, and left propeller.
