From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Investigation and witness reports revealed that aircraft N7156E took off from airport NY49 with four (4) parachute jumpers on board. The aircraft climbed to 2000 feet and let a wind streamer out of the aircraft. The aircraft then climbed to 4500 feet where the first jumper jumped out of the aircraft followed 30 seconds later by the second jumper. The first jumper landed on the grass runway without incident. The second jumper descended with what appeared to be a fully deployed parachute, had trouble maneuvering to a desirable landing area, did not decelerate before touchdown and landed hard on the ground. After landing on the ground, the second jumper bounced into and on top of the wing of a stationary airplane. Subsequent jumps were cancelled. The airplane did not land back to the grass strip.
