From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed on a part 91 flight from arlington, WA (kawo) to Langley, WA (W10). Upon arrival at W10 he felt the winds were light and elected to make a downwind approach to avoid a steeper aprroach that would be neccesary due to the high trees at the opposite end of the runway.

He knew that he was high on the final approach but elected to continue the landing and touched down well down the runway and could not stop the aircraft in the distance remaining. The aircraft went off the end of the runway and ran into an embankment and flipped upside down. Pilot sustained minor injuries. No post crash fire.
