From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot took off and reported unsafe gear indication. Right main gear appeared to be stuck in the wheel well. After several failed attempts to lower landing gear pilot landed with right main gear in well. Aticraft skidded down runway on nose and left gear and on the wing step on right side. The aircraft veered to right grass area and stopped after approximately 100 feet. Minor damage to the following:

1. Right cabin step is bent.

2. Antenna located on belly hit rnwy light.

3. Right flap leading edge came in contact with the inner right flap hinge.

4. Right flap outer trailing edge is damaged from comming in contact with the ground.

4.Forwar belly skin has dent from hitting the runway light.

5. Right lower inner aft wing skin (wing root) has small dent.

6.Right cabin step attachment skin has small crease.

The right main landing gear failed to extend (downward) as a

Result of being hung up in the wheel well. The primary cause was determined to be a bolt on the

Lower landing gear yoke assembly which holds the plate

Having been installed backward and the exposed threads then becoming caught on the edge of the

Up stop bracket when the gear is in a raised position.

Commander aircraft sent out an advisory (August 18. 2016)to all owners to reverse the direction of the four bolts on both main landing gear.
