From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At 1315 EST on 8/14/16 at Tampa Executive Airport (kvdf), N1418T was being taxied in front of hangar 1809 in order to position the aircraft in front of the hangar and align it for push back. The nose gear settled on a downward sloping drainage grate in the taxi area, which then caused the propeller to strike asphalt sloping upward from the grate. The engine was immediately shut down. Pilot and passenger disembarked the aircraft with no injuries. Upon inspection both propeller tips were damaged.
