From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft made a landing approach with a heading of 35 degrees to it's intended landing zone. Two practice landing attempts were performed onto a nearby movable dolly with an aproach heading of 360 degrees. On the second attempt the aircraft landed short on the dolly. When collective was reduced, the aircraft teetered backwards onto tailboom stinger. The collective was quickly applied and aircraft became airborne and yawed right. Collective was reduced and the aircraft made a hard landing with a heading of 245 degrees.
