What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Airplane landed at Tieton State Airport (4S6). Pilot didn?t notice any adverse winds during approach and landing but anticipated that there was a possibility of afternoon mountain wind gusts. The pilot touched down softly and straight without a need for crosswind correction. During the landing roll the pilot applied normal brake pressure for directional control. The airplane ground looped to the right and as it skidded sideways the left gear collapsed, folding under the airplane allowing the left wing to impact the ground. Wing damage included rear spar and a number of ribs.
