From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 09/19/2016 @ approximately 1230 AKDT the airman landed N5773D in gusty wind conditions on rough but soft terrain 60 miles wnw of mcgrath AK. He positioned the aircraft to back taxi to beginning of the touchdown point. Upon transition, he became stuck and applied near full power to become unstuck. Once rolling again, he maintained a higher than normal taxi speed and power setting. This taxi speed became too great and brakes were applied. Simultaneously, a large tussock was hit causing the tail to come up high and caught a gust of wind. This in turn flipped the aircraft onto its back.
