From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Cessna N488E began to develop lift on departure of runway 06. Backpressure was relaxed to hold aircraft in ground effect to increase airspeed to obtain a safe climbing speed, but the aircraft settled back to the ground. The aircraft left the ground for the second time, but again began to settle. A decision to abort the takeoff was then made and firm braking force was applied. The aircraft slid off the end of the runway and proceeded to travel another 40 yards before coming to rest.
